Lunenburg 12th Maple Festival

Join our town’s maple sugaring heritage celebration in a full day of free and affordable family fun - immersion in everything maple!


Interactive and photographic displays, antique sugaring equipment, door prize drawings, “Maple Season Memories” photo contest, "Colors of Maple" quilt square contest and raffle, and scavenger hunt throughout the day. Pancake breakfast 8 – 10:30. Rug hooking demo 9-3. Experience the diverse sugaring operations in Lunenburg during the local sugarhouse tours 10 – 3 and the Lunenburg student-run sugaring operation at the school 10-4. Maple pie baking contest judging begins at 10:30 with pie sales immediately after winners are announced. Learn about backyard sugaring at the tree tapping demonstration held on the Lunenburg Common at 11. Enjoy homemade soups and bread lunch from noon – 3. Maple theme and Lunenburg gift items available for purchase, including "A Wicked Good Run" and Lunenburg T-shirts.

Nunchaku Course

This three-hour comprehensive hands-on course on the use of the nunchaku in self defense will be presented by master instructor, Stephen Jones.

This course for Police, Military, Martial Artists and interested citizens will cover: Okinawan Palace Guard nunchaku techniques, how to make and use nunchaku, locks and holds demonstrated and taught. Nunchaku patterned after those used by the Okinawan Palace Guard offered for sale. Free set to first 20 students to register. Statewide - Vermont Maple Open House Weekend.

Visit a maple sugarhouse this weekend and experience the inviting aroma of boiling sap.

Taste new season maple.  Some sugarhouses have pancake breakfasts, sugar-on-snow, horse-drawn sleigh rides, tours and walks in the woods, and live music.  And they all give you a sample of their maple syrup. Also March 26th.

Mud & Muck Auction

Live and silent auction items, from household goods, toys, baked goods and hand crafted pieces to gift certificates and products from many local and out of state businesses.

We are seeking donations of quality household goods (no large furniture or applicances please.)  Items may be dropped off on Friday, March 24th from 6-9pm at the Town Hall Gym or on the day of the event between 12 noon and 2pm.  Proceeds will benefit the Peacham School annual ski and swim programs, as well as community sports and entertainment activities, student instruments & P.E. equipment and other school arts & P.E. programs.

Be dazzled by the story of four performers who transform 1920's Hollywood from silent films to talkies. You'll be tapping your feet while you enjoy well-known songs like, "Good Morning" and of course "Singin' in the Rain".
