The St. Johnsbury School – (SJS) is the local public school and constitutes a population of approximately 700 students in PK-8^th grade. The newly renovated and consolidated school, which opened its doors fully in the fall of 2002, is constructed in houses to accommodate the needs of the different grade levels. The Cornerstone School – is a state-approved independent day school for grades 3-12. A secondary diploma is available. The annual enrollment is 30-35 students who come from the immediate area towns.
