Workforce Expansion Program Updates

Program Updates

Our Workforce Expansion Program continues to move forward, and I am so grateful to the many partner organizations, manufacturing and health care employers, and educational partners who are coming together to strengthen pathways into the workforce.

We are learning more every month about the roadblocks facing both job seekers and employers. The more we learn, the more clear it becomes that many of these challenges are not limited to one sector.

What we are seeing in manufacturing and health care can help us better understand workforce needs across the region.

The Department of Labor is currently gathering survey information from job seekers. Please consider completing the survey and sharing it with anyone who may be looking for work, considering a career change, or trying to better connect with employment opportunities.

Help us hear from NEK Jobseekers!

We need your help in gathering feedback from jobseekers in the Northeast Kingdom! To help us shape the regional workforce solutions developed through the Workforce Expansion Program, we want to know what people look for in a job, what matters to them most about work, and what it has been like searching for a job in the NEK.

How you can help:

If you are a jobseeker in the NEK, please complete our survey by June 19th. https://forms.office.com/g/ga9hT1u0hw

Employers and community partners: Please share this link with jobseekers in your networks and post it on your sites and social channels! https://forms.office.com/g/ga9hT1u0hw

Your support will help ensure our strategies reflect real experiences and needs across our region.
