The NEK Young Professionals Network (NEK YPN) is a space for emerging leaders in the Northeast Kingdom to build connections, deepen their sense of community, and grow both personally and professionally.
Whether you're new to the region or have deep local roots, NEK YPN helps you expand your network, share ideas, and access resources that support your goals while contributing to the vitality of our region.
Current Projects:
- Networking Events – Casual mixers, seasonal gatherings, and peer meetups across the NEK.
- Managing the NEK chapter of The Vermont Welcome Wagon Project
- Professional Development – Opportunities to get involved and practice leadership skills in a supportive environment.
- Community Connection – Opportunities to get involved in local projects, boards, and initiatives that matter to you.
- Support & Belonging – A welcoming community of peers navigating careers, transitions, and life in rural Vermont together.
Who It's For:
We recognize the word "professional" to be inclusive, not exclusive, running the full gamut of available employment and traditional and non-traditional educational backgrounds, all equally critical to the long-term sustainability of our region.
We recognize the word "young" to be dynamic, not static, and its regional understanding may change over time as the demographics of the region evolve.
