Vermont Authors Lecture Series: Tom Greene

"The Perfect Liar" is a thrilling novel with a shocking climax told by Thomas Christopher Greene, the critically acclaimed author of six novels, with a world-wide following whose fiction has been translated in 13 languages.



Recently returning full-time to his literary career, Greene founded the Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2006, widely recognized as one of the leading graduate arts colleges in the country. His work as an educator has been recognized by his appointment to the New England Higher Education Board by the Governor, his appointment as a commissioner on the New England Higher Education Commission, and his service, twice, as President of the Vermont Higher Education Council.

Enjoy summer evenings with Vermont Authors in an intimate setting. Make a night of it; stop by the café for dinner or drinks, or come from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm for a garden party on the patio or in the gallery featuring local food and drink pairings. Registration is $12.

The Clif Enduro Lite

Paul Asbell Blues Trio featuring Jerry Portnoy

From his early years playing blues and jazz guitar with artists ranging from Muddy Waters to Bobby McFerrin to his present multi-faceted career based in northern Vermont, Chicago native Paul Asbell has earned a reputation as a true "musician's musician."¯



He performs at HCA as the Paul Asbell Blues Trio featuring legendary blues harp master Jerry Portnoy, whose career includes six years as a member of the Muddy Waters Blues band, and another four years as a featured member of the Eric Clapton band. Rounding out the trio is Clyde Stats on bass, another veteran of the Chicago blues scene, who has performed with a variety of blues artists such as Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Otis Rush.
