Anita Price Roth, Owner - I took a pottery class once and it was a floundering and intimidating experience. Clay’n Around will not be that!

Everyone and every level of experience is welcome. Class sizes will be small. Instructors will know you and your work and kindly, patiently and happily support you as you grow as an artist. Teens and children are welcome.

The space is relaxing and beautiful. Add in the magic that our Potter in Residence, Julie Hook, brings to Clay’n Around, and we know our students and members will be inspired. You will even see Anita in a class slaying her pottery demons!

Great thought, talent and sweat of St. Johnsbury’s finest craftsmen and women - Jeff Paine, Vange Morse & Eric Corliss - went into Clay’n Around. Out of the layers of grime and oddities, the tilting 1/2 wall maze, and pure electrical confusion, they painstakingly resurrected 443 Railroad St. and brought my vision of a peaceful boutique pottery studio, elegant candle-making workshop and modern makers space/art gallery to life. Now, it’s your turn to create, and we welcome you!

POTTER IN RESIDENCE

Julie D. Hook, Potter in Residence - Julie is a new resident of Waterbury and is excited to get the know the NEK potter community! Julie has quickly become a VIP is the process of bringing to fruition the brand new boutique Clay’n Around Pottery Studio. Julie is a pottery GOAT - talented, creative and smart with the essential qualities of persistence and patience that a pottery instructor must have to inspire creativity in others. MEMBERSHIP

A new boutique pottery studio that feels like home. Memberships are limited to ensure you have the space and materials you need to create and grow as an artist. Experienced potters who can work independently are invited to apply for membership.
