Inn by the River is situated along the Lamoille River in the town of Hardwick, surrounded with natural beauty and the access to many activities in Hardwick and the surrounding towns of Greensboro, Craftsbury, Morrisville, Stowe, Walden, Cabot, Woodbury and St. Johnsbury.

The inn is unpretentious yet provides a warm feeling and comfortable accommodations. In the summer and fall, the grounds include flower gardens, swimming pool, a view of the river (yes, you can swim in it, too), BBQ accommodations and a fire pit for evenings spent with friends.

Inn by the River is ideally located within about an hours drive from seven different downhill ski areas. Craftsbury Outdoor Center, a world-renowned cross-country area, is 10 miles from us, not to mention Vermont's snowmobile trails (VAST) - and that's just the winter sports!

Additionally, we are near the Hardwick Trails, the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and the Green Mountain Gravel Growler Bike Trail. We are also very close to Hill Farmstead Brewery, Bread & Puppet Theatre, Circus Smirkus and Sterling College.
