WYKR/Yankee Kingdom Media Corp. has been operating in Northeast Vermont, Northwest New Hampshire and the Upper Connecticut River Valley since 1976.

Radio Stations:

• AM 1100 WTWN radio station is licensed to Wells River, Vt., where its 300-foot tower is located.
• FM 101.3 WYKR radio station is licensed to Haverhill, N.H., where it has a 199-foot tower.

Started in 1976 by the Puffer family, the legacy of the WYKR and WTWN now lives on under owner Joshua Smith. The stations, operating 24 hours a day and seven days a week, consider themselves the heart and conscience of their region.

The stations pride themselves on airing the best in country music while providing their listeners with a community-strong influence, promoting local activities and interviewing the newsmakers in the area. The range of the stations goes from Lyndonville to Hanover, N.H.
