80 musicians on stage! The Lviv Natioinal Philharmonic Orchestra, based in the medieval city of Lviv, was officially established on Sept. 27, 1902, as, on this day, the first concert of the newly formed orchestra took place in the Philharmonic Theater of Count Stanislav Skarbko (presently known as the Ukranian Academic Theater of Drama). During this time of war in Ukraine, we welcome this orchestra as a vital articulation of solidarity and cultural exchange in the desire for peace. We're pleased to be a part of its U.S. tour that will include Carnegie Hall, The Kennedgy Center, The Eastman School of Music and a nulti-night run at the Radio City Music Hall.
