Analog to AR: Creating Augmented Reality Animation

Date: Saturday, March 25, 2023
Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

(Ages 10 and up)  Buttons, tape, yarn, crayons- these materials don’t usually come to mind when we think of Augmented Reality. Participants in this workshop will use drawing and other analog processes to create short loops that will eventually cross the boundary between physical and virtual environments.

Instructor: NVU-Lyndon Assistant Professor Kate Renner.

All supplies will be provided to in-person participants. A smartphone or tablet that can connect to the internet is necessary for the AR part of the process.

This workshop is being offered both in person and virtually; a Zoom link will be sent to all participants the week before the workshop.

A helpful adult companion is recommended for participants under age 16.

Admission: suggested donation $5 accepted at the workshop (registration required)
Space is limited, so register early.

Location:  Harvey Academic Center 132, NVU-Lyndon, 1001 College Road, Lyndonville, VT
