"Our job isn't only to provide health care..."

"...but also to navigate healthcare," said Dr. Umair Malik of Blue Spruce Health, speaking at Wednesday's Coffee & Connections in Lyndon.

Blue Spruce Health first brought its Direct Primary Care model to Vermont's Northeast Kingdom just 5 years ago, but over the past two years, they've noticed a rise in interest from employers looking to work with them.

"We want to do this for Vermont," says Dr. Malik, "people in the Northeast are so hardworking, they don't need to deal with the hassle of insurance."

Through the Direct Primary Care model, Blue Spruce is able to offer its members—be they individuals or employees—a wide range of services and unlimited access to their medical team without the need for insurance.
